CRANE TACTICAL ACS-50 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. ACS-50 sighting system must be
properly zeroed prior to field use or deployment.
2. Manufacturer recommends "sighting-in" of weapon on a government
approved range, or within approved field of operation with safe
backstop.
3. Use #4 aperture to zero sights at 400 meters. Horizontal adjustments
can be made with traverse knob on rear sight. Vertical adjustments can
be made on front sight post with enclosed M-16 style sight adjustment
tool or the tip of a 5.56mm/7.62mm cartridge. Once #4 aperture is
zeroed, "sighting-in" is complete.
*If 400 meter range not available, use #4 aperture, engage 100 meter
target, adjust front sight post until bullet impact is 6" above point of
aim.*
Additional ACS-50 sight system
information (as indicated on operator's side of rear sight):
#4 Aperture (400 meter zero) can
be used to engage EE sized targets ranging from 0-500 meters.
#7 Aperture (700 meter zero) can be used to engage EE sized targets
ranging from 500- 800 meters.
#9 Aperture (900 meter zero) can be used to engage EE sized targets
ranging from 800- 1000 meters.
*Engaging targets beyond 1000
meters can be achieved through the use of operator's choice of optics or
aiming devices attached to ACS-50 accessory rail. These devices should
be independently zeroed to the user's desired target range.
**Target engagements beyond 1000
meters with the use of the ACS-50 apertures is not recommended.
